The first Advanced Certificate program for Executive Management of GeoInformation was successfully accomplished on 27th, Jul. 2012. The program is the highest level of Geoinformation training ever hosted by the US for China. It is a joint effort among the National Administration of Surveying, Mapping, and GeoInformation (NASG), George Mason University (GMU), and CPGIS. 21 executives including (deputy) director generals from NASG and Surveying and Mapping bureaus (of Anhui, Beijing, Chongqing, Fujian, Ganshu, Guizhou, Hainan, Hubei, Jiling,Shanxi, Shanghai, Sichuan) participated in the training program that covers a wide variety of topics including GeoInformation in the US federal agencies, GIScience past and future, 2012 US election, international executive management, global and US economy, how to run a US university, how to operates an international company, and how to run an international organization.
